Used as the video centerpiece for the kickoff of JHU's $2 billion Campaign for Johns Hopkins, this 17-minute show is a whirlwind tour of the institution's far-reaching excellence: from Bologna to Nanjing to Baltimore, and from cancer research to international relations to classical music. We shot in 16:9 widescreen format video, giving the piece a cinematic feel that complements the university's broad vision and successes. We especially enjoyed working on the project because we had an opportunity to do in-depth interviews with Dr. D.A. Henderson and Dr. Bert Vogelstein. Each of their contributions to medicine -- Dr. Henderson in leading the program that eradicated smallpox, and Dr. Vogelstein in his work to identify markers for colon cancer -- was wonderful to learn about first-hand.
